Turning wasted roof space into something amazing 🙌✨

We’ve created a huge 4.8m x 3.8m attic room out of what used to be completely unused space. The new attic will soon be accessed by a spiral staircase, making it a super functional and unique addition to the home. Structurally we have built the floor off the load bearing walls below to ensure there’s no added weight to ceiling below that can cause issues the plastered ceiling eventually.

Below, the kitchen and dining area are getting a beautiful cathedral ceiling to bring in light, height and a serious wow factor.

Stripping back the old weatherboards and giving this facade a full reset.
With the frame exposed, we straightened everything up and installed new cavity battens to allow proper airflow, moisture control, and a perfectly straight base for the cladding.

Now ready for James Hardie Linea boards to bring a fresh, durable, modern finish.

🔨 Renovation Update @ our Blackburn Job

Transforming old houses means solving hidden challenges! In this project, we encountered existing walls that were out of plumb. Instead of just covering up the issue, we took the time to do it right, ensuring lasting stability and a flawless finish when it comes time to plaster and installing joinery, tiles and wall linings.

To correct the walls, we implemented precise structural works, including:

• Reinforcing key areas with new framing to support realignment.
• laminating new wall studs to achieve perfect plumb finish.
- removing existing internal walls and making new.
• Bracing load-bearing sections to ensure long-term stability.

These steps allowed us to create a smooth, even surface that’s not only visually perfect but structurally sound. 💪🔧 Now, we’re ready for the finishing touches that will make this space look as good as it feels! Affordable timber all from our supplier @berniecooktimber
